DeepSOMA Series

A 4-Part Series (1x/week for 4 weeks) where we will learn deep + simple practices that restore your Energy Balance in your WHOLE Body.

In each 90-minute session, we’ll share:

  • A Restorative, Somatic Movement Routine (moving + breathwork)

  • A Guided Meditation (EMDR Informed + subtle somatic movement)

  • A daily wind-down ritual OR a clarity practice

  • Real Talk about what keeps us stuck in stress-patterns

  • Exploration of 1 Pillar to see how it provides helpful feedback loops to use in our daily lives

  • “Somatics” is the field of movement education that teaches you how to move well through the world. It’s any kind of movement that addresses the connection between the body and the mind and improves the ability to be aware of how you feel in your body. That said, there are many different methods in the field of “Somatics.” I am a Clinical Somatic Educator, which means I use safe, gentle, and common sense approaches to understanding (and reducing) muscle tension/pain that can be caused by chronic stress, injury or trauma. Through simple, gentle movements, you learn how to relax the muscles that contribute to your pain/stress and gain strategies for managing it in the future.

  • Active recovery is light, low-impact physical activity designed to enhance the body's natural recovery process after intense workouts by increasing blood flow to muscles, which helps reduce soreness, remove lactic acid, and deliver nutrients for muscle repair.

    Bringing Energy Balance into our lives is the key to creating Whole Body Strength. When we train, there must be a consistent practice of rest/recovery in order for the body to recalibrate towards: muscle growth, weight loss, increased energy, cell regeneration, homeostasis.

    How we rest + recalibrate in our daily lives includes: getting adequate sleep, eating for Nutrient Density, managing stress levels, moving often and stewarding our bodies with reverence + care.

  • This series will offer ways to reconfigure unhelpful repetitive patterns + coping strategies that tend to leave us in cycles of unhealed chronic pain/tension/stress. This often leaves us unable to meet goals, interrupt growth, or plateau progress.

    It is also a great introduction to a Somatic Movement Practice, which is often a missing link in understanding how our body + mind are interconnected and always affecting ways of moving, thinking + being.

  • Real Talk Ask: What is my physical breath telling me, when I tune in to listen?

  • Pillar Exploration: #3: Strong Movement Patterns begin with a regulated Nervous System

Week 4 Theme: Interoception

  • Restorative Movement Routine Focus: Neck + Sensory Integration

  • Guided Meditation Theme: Body Scan

  • Clarity Practice: What is my body messaging me often? What do these messages mean to me?

  • Real Talk Ask: Do I respond to my body’s needs appropriately?

  • Pillar Exploration: #4: Connections to the Greater World — How do I use what I’ve learned in my Daily Life?
