I’ve grown this Strength philosophy + Movement Practice over the last 10 years, but I’ve been training, educating + designing programs for 20. I’ve worked with some outstanding Movement Providers, Educators + coaches and it’s through their wisdom that I’ve cooked up some of my own with Pillar Strength.
I so often get asked what it is I actually do, since I’m not a typical Strength Trainer. My background is in the Physical Therapy/Rehab space; I am a Pelvic Floor Specialist, a Corrective Movement Specialist, I’m a certified Strength Trainer, and Educator. For a lot of years, I was educating little ones, but then started writing + designing Movement curriculum for clinical rehab programs. I have specialized training in Pilates, Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization, Postural Restoration + Dynamic Variable Resistance Training. While these are mostly clinical approaches, my superpower is making sophisticated movement information accessible to my clients. I believe the more we know about our own movement patterns, the more capacity we have to build them or restore them.
I believe in lifelong learning + high-quality information steeped in tradition, science + the cutting edge…you 100% receive that in my movement spaces.
In a nutshell, I help people develop strong movement patterns along the FULL Movement Spectrum. I also coach people into understanding their physical body IS their mental + emotional body. They are in NO way separate and they all make up the sum-total of the way in-which you move in this world.
I’ve helped people strengthen their way out of chronic pain, I can cue someone into the strongest deadlift (hinge) they’ve ever had, I educate people about how their body actually acquires movement + I can help you understand what true Core Stability means. My passion is the Foot - Core Connection. I love pelvic + ribcage anatomy (and help A LOT of people understand how to build/restore their core (and Pelvic Floor) strength. Ultimately, I want to guide my clients into falling in love with their body’s full capacity. It’s a never-ending pursuit of Self-Love + Respect.
