Movement begins in your nervous system

Train it.

your nervous system is your foundation.

Through breathwork, sensory-driven movement and somatic practices, we help your system downshift into a more subtle space of awareness. This is where mobility, alignment and true movement freedom are restored, so strength can build on stable ground.

  • All Pillar programs are designed with The Full Movement Spectrum in mind. How your body articulates movement is a process that happens mostly on the inside. When we say “Nervous System + Somatic Movement”, we’re talking about segments of each training session, full classes or 1:1 sessions that slow things way down in order to attune to your body’s more subtle movement patterns.

  • Yes. This is for anyone.

    • SOMA classes could be described as a slow paced, breath + mobility-focused, deep body awareness experience. It will restore + reinforce important CORE fascial/muscle chains.

    • In a Strength session, it’s typically at the beginning or end + uses breathing exercises paired with reinforcing key neuromuscular/motor patterns your body needs to practice

    • In a 1:1 session, it depends on the Body; it might be breathwork only, paired with guided meditation. It might be neuro-focused or focused on a certain region of the body that needs specific work.

  • No. There is no Yoga. But…

It has restorative effects, can leave you feeling more mobile, feeling less tension + with a deeper sense of calm. The pace could be compared to a Vinyasa or Yin class, depending on the work being done.

When we use the body’s native technologies (like breath, awareness + aligned movement), we can unlock subconscious blocks, we can restore once-lost movement patterns and feel less stressed + more present.
